Join us for the second of two partner programs presented in conjunction with Holocaust Museum LA’s Ruth Gruber: Photojournalist and the Wende Museum’s Soviet Jewish Life exhibitions. This panel discussion will focus on the lives of Refuseniks and other Soviet Jews during the Cold War period. Speakers are Bill Aron, whose photographs are on view in our current exhibition, and Professor Michael Berenbaum, rabbi, writer, filmmaker, former Project Director of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and former Director of the museum’s Holocaust Research Institute.

Attendance at in-person events at the Wende Museum requires proof of COVID-19 full vaccination and a valid photo ID.
Acceptable forms of proof of vaccination include:
  • COVID-19 vaccination card;
  • photo of a vaccination card (both sides);
  • documentation of vaccination from a licensed healthcare provider;
  • personal digital COVID-19 vaccine record issued by the State of California, Los Angeles County, or similar documentation issued by another state or jurisdiction. 
Visitors attesting to qualifying medical or religious exemptions may supply proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours and a valid photo ID.
